Underground in the still, invisible darkness they derive from a singular code, anchored by a common root system, while abovegound they find individual expression in the light.

~ Even after 25 years in Truckee, Pam McAdoo sometimes misses the farmland outside New York City where she was raised. She supplements her art-teaching gig at Sierra College with occasional work at the Villager Nursery, Bookshelf stores, and the Truckee Library. The arts are her passion, from drawing, painting, printmaking, and bookarts, to music, dance, and architecture.  With In The Moment, she pays homage to Paul Madonna, whose artful synthesis of text and reportage illustration has inspired her to add words to her visual records of North Tahoe and Truckee — conversations overheard or thoughts that arise in the moment when she’s drawing.
