Positioned above the mighty Truckee River is the set for Moonshine Ink’s newest digital production series, Tiny Porch Concerts. Thus far we’ve had the pleasure of hosting Poor Man’s Whiskey, Fruition, and KBong (two integral members of Stick Figure, click here), all of whom you can find on our YouTube or Facebook pages. As the series moves forward we’re excited to announce we’ve partnered with the Crystal Bay Club for five more videos, and because the point is to celebrate musicians and the power of community journalism, we went out to ask our community which band they would love to get on our Tiny Porch?

Ween, they’re friends of mine that I grew up with. They are an international touring band, but they have played around Tahoe quite a bit including the Crystal Bay Club and High Sierra Music Festival.

The only people that I can think of that would be able to fit on a tiny stage would be the Deckheads, and I always love seeing them play around town and at Truckee Thursdays.

I’m a bluegrass fan; we go to WinterWonderGrass every year. I’d love to see The Infamous Stringdusters or Greensky Bluegrass; I was a big Railroad Earth fan back in the day, but they’ve gotten a little more mellow in recent years.
STEPHANIE HOWARD, Truckee
I like the reggae shows that come to town. I’ve seen The Wailers a few times, Ziggy Marley, and Burning Spear here at the Truckee amphitheater. Reggae is just good upbeat music, it puts me in a good mood and makes me want to dance.
BRIAN BERLINER, Truckee
Real Estate Agent, Chase International
I wouldn’t mind seeing Widespread Panic, they kind of do the whole Rockies and southwest areas. (Stick Figure comes on radio during interview) Maybe Stick Figure should come back!
