STAFF REPORT

The 10th annual Soroptishop fundraiser, sponsored by the Soroptimist International of Truckee-Donner, raised $4,492.19 to help end human trafficking. One hundred percent of the money will be sent directly to Courage House, a nonprofit home in Nevada County for young women who are victims of human trafficking. The event, held at the Truckee Tahoe Airport on Nov. 21, showcased 35 vendors, appetizers, and wine. Bobbi Johansen, the founder and director of a Courage House in Northern California, was on-hand accepting donations. In October, Soroptimist International of Truckee-Donner honored Johansen as the 30th annual recipient of the Soroptimist Ruby.
