If you are looking for a great dog this month I highly recommend Merlin. Merlin is a 15-pound terrier mix with that ‘I-just-got-out-of-bed’ hairstyle the girls seem to dig. My hair looks the same no matter what I do. I think Merlin is using some product. If it helps him get adopted (and noticed by the ladies) I fully support him.
This month the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe’s shelter is overflowing with cats. There are so many that five of them are staying at HSTT’s office. Rey, Ginger, Daphne, Pie, and Rudolfo make any visit to the downtown office fun. My favorite of the bunch was Rey. Rey, allegedly an Egyptian Mau, is the longest tenured cat at the office. Rey is a mellow girl, which jives with her Egyptian heritage. Egyptian Mau’s are known for their exceptional speed. I don’t know how they time them but apparently these kitties can get up to 36 miles per hour. It’s getting cold outside. Nothing warms you up better than a fast girl like Rey. Catch her if you can.
