Chipping In!

Please welcome the latest addition to the Moonshine Member Pantheon of Critter Heroes: Chippy! Stoddy the raccoon and Stella the Jay are stoked to have a new caped friend.

Introducing … Chip!

Chippy is the bustling one of the bunch — he moves fast, covers a lot of ground, and focuses on building his cache. He’s rather like a journalist on a small staff of any U.S. newspaper. It’s dire out there. According to a recent report out of Northwestern University, two local newspapers close every week in this country.

We know we’re doing something right here at Moonshine Ink, as many readers have chipped in voluntarily, taken the time out of your day and money from your wallet, to support our mission to provide quality journalism to the community.

Yet we still need more of our readers to chip in, to reach our goal of sustainability, to let our journalists have the breathing room to do the work that holds local government accountable, to report on the trials, triumphs, and tragedies of our region.

We are all in. Are you?
