Within the Tahoe Sierra MLS region, the number of single-family homes sold in the month of April decreased 28% from March, while median price was down 17%. Interestingly, the number of home sales in April — 23 — is the lowest number of homes sold in the TSMLS that we have seen in a single month since our Moonshine Ink reporting began in 2016. The number of homes sold dropped 63% year over year, while the median price decreased only 22%, again showing us that while supply grows and demand decreases, price is slow to follow. After a long winter, the pent-up excitement for summer ahead is in the air and we anticipate an active May listing season ahead.
