The month of October brought the lowest sales volume the Tahoe Sierra MLS has seen since before 2016. It was even lower than last year when the Caldor Fire put a temporary hold on real estate transactions. Last month saw a decrease in the number of single-family homes sold and an increase in median price, both month over month and year over year. This year marks the highest October median price we have seen in the same period. Notably, each micro-region is experiencing different ups and downs, creating an inconsistent storyline, and proving that we are in the midst of change as our region is still settling from a hyperactive two-year period.
