In the month of June, the Tahoe Sierra MLS saw a 20% increase in sales and a 24% decrease in median price from May. The true testament that real estate season is upon us is the 45% increase in homes actively listed for sale compared to the previous month of May. In sharp contrast to June 2021, the number of listings jumped by a whopping 71%, a strong indication that buyers will begin to have more leverage. In June, homes were on the market for an average of 15 days. As more inventory comes on to the market, we expect to see more competitive pricing with well-priced homes moving fast.
