Tune It or Lose It: Fundamental Movement Hacks for the Imperfect Human

Do you have recurring pain when active or inactive? Have you ever wondered why you stand towards one side or why your left and right ski turns are not symmetrical? Have you or others noted twists/torsions in your spine or pelvis? Do you have issues activating certain muscles during activity? These are symptoms of lateralization and are inherent to humankind; regardless of handedness.

Like animals, humans are not symmetrical beings. Our organs and respiratory diaphragms are different right to left and this causes EVERY ONE OF US to unwind into common human patterns. Aside from affecting muscle control, strength and performance, these patterns are often the origin of dysfunction and pain.

Learn to recalibrate and balance the body with:
self-massage techniques
soft-tissue release with roller balls
corrective movements for pelvis and spine
reactivating inhibited muscles
lecture and discussion

Through a combination of lecture, self soft-tissue release using roller balls, and corrective movements for recalibrating the pelvis and spine, you will effectively “turn on” inhibited muscles and correct spinal and pelvic torsions.Participants will have access to key concepts, drills and other considerations from this workshop via COACHNOW, an interactive coaching app.

Key concepts are drawn from the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) and Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT).
