TAHOE CITY/WEST SHORE

The community is invited to celebrate the season with the Spring Thaw Scavenge Hunt on April 10 and 11. This fun and interactive event encourages people to get outside, explore local businesses, and enjoy special deals throughout Tahoe City, West Shore, and Alpine Meadows.

Hosted by the Tahoe City Downtown Association, the Spring Thaw Scavenge Hunt is about getting out and enjoying the spring sunshine while shopping and eating along the way.

Participants can register at visittahoecity.org with the Scavenge Hunt opening April 10 at 10 a.m. It will run through 5 p.m. on April 11.

Once registered, participants can stroll through Tahoe City and West Shore and look for special flower yard signs placed at participating businesses. Each location unlocks a challenge from taking a selfie to completing challenges to earn points, unlock digital coupons, and access special deals and discounts at local businesses. 

Participants can also check in at participating locations to earn additional points, and top scorers will win fun prizes including tickets to the Tahoe City Food & Wine Classic and Oktoberfest, and gift certificates to Wolfdale’s and Yoga Room Tahoe, among others.
