Truckee Community Theater announced that as of Jan. 1, 2026, the organization is officially doing business as the Truckee Tahoe Theatre Company.

This change marks an exciting new chapter for the nonprofit theatre, which has been a vibrant part of the Truckee arts scene for over a decade. The new name reflects the company’s growth, its commitment to excellence, and its dedication to serving a wider community.

Truckee Tahoe Theatre Company will continue to offer its diverse lineup of musicals, plays, youth productions, and theatre education programs. The new name honors the company’s roots in Truckee while embracing the broader Tahoe region, casting a wider net to build and strengthen its theatrical family.

As part of this transition, the company also launched its brand-new website at truckeetheatre.org, offering a fresh online home for ticketing, news, education opportunities, and more.

Though the name and website have changed, the mission remains the same: to bring world-class theater opportunities and performances to audiences of all ages in Truckee and North Lake Tahoe.
