TAHOE DONNER

Tahoe Donner’s Downhill Ski Resort has officially kicked off the 2025/26 season with the opening of its brand new lodge. Following 18 months of construction and modified base operations out of temporary structures in the previous winter, Tahoe Donner Association asserts with much enthusiasm that the new ski lodge has been worth the wait.

Featuring a host of amenities in a sleek, modern building, guests can now enjoy enhancements like level access to the lifts, an updated sun deck, a spacious indoor bar and dining area with panoramic views of the mountain, kiosks to redeem pre-purchased tickets quickly and conveniently, a dedicated kids’ ski school and lesson space with its own dining hall, bathrooms, cubbies, lunch service, and more.

While the prior building held decades of cherished memories for generations of Tahoe Donner members and their families, its outdated design posed many safety and operational challenges. As a popular resort for families and newer skiers and snowboarders, even ranked fourth-place on Redbull’s top 10 beginner ski resorts, Tahoe Donner wanted to elevate the experience for everyone.

With ample beginner terrain, wide-open runs, a variety of affordable learning programs for adults and kids as young as 3, and friendly, supportive staff, Downhill prides itself on being an accessible entry point and ideal environment for learning and building skills.
