The sun enters Gemini on May 20. This is a special day, when there will be an annular eclipse of the sun. Solar and lunar eclipses happen about every six months, and the path of the shadow cast on the Earth is different every time. The shadow is the result of the moon moving in between the sun and Earth. On May 20, the eclipse shadow starts in Hong Kong and moves northward through Japan, the Aleutian Islands, and then south through Northern California. It goes through Eureka, Mount Lassen, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Carson City, continues to the Grand Canyon, New Mexico, and ends in Lubbock, Texas. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience an annular eclipse of the sun where we live. With our mountain and lake environment, it should be spectacular. The eclipse also signals the activation of energies here locally, which should facilitate and accelerate our ability to move into the future. Try to take the opportunity to experience this rare phenomenon.
