The longest day of the year and the summer solstice coincide with the sun entering Cancer, the ruler of nature, on June 21. How fitting that hiking, rafting, boating, camping, mountain biking, concerts, and street fairs are now on the agenda. More specifically, Cancer is the sign behind the ecology and environmental movements aimed at establishing a better balance between man and nature.
Keep in mind that the United States is a Cancer, born on the Fourth of July. As a nation blessed with diverse and widespread natural beauty, we were the first country to establish national and state park systems, which have preserved this precious gift. Get outside and enjoy.
Aries (March 21-April 19) You may have to deal with relationship issues now. There is a feeling of frustration and anger in dealing with friends and partners, and the surrounding volatility is somewhat explosive. Look at your own situation; you may be the one making things difficult as a result of your blocked self-expression. Look at ways to express yourself more effectively.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) This is an excellent time for you to travel. Get out of town, maybe even out of the country, go somewhere new, and open yourself up to different experiences. Be sure to include some alone time for yourself; you need to just “be” for a while.
Gemini (May 21-June 20) You are noticing that your mind is operating and perceiving things differently. During this mentally creative time, take note of the thoughts and ideas that come to you — your intuitive and channeling abilities are enhanced. All of this new insight is waiting to be expressed through your self-development.
Cancer (June 21-July 21) This is your month to shine and you should be feeling good about yourself; life is treating you well. Socializing with friends should definitely be on your agenda. Plus, the new sense of freedom that you feel is helping you take charge of your life in different, powerful ways. This brings with it a sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 21) Personal and domestic affairs want to be the center of attention. Now is the time to take care of any home improvements that will better your living space, like redecorating, remodeling, or gardening. Then throw a party for your friends to celebrate and enjoy your new environment.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 21) Time to lighten up and have some fun, especially through traveling. If you can do fun activities and adventures with friends and partners, all the better. Camping, hiking, boating, and other recreational activities will give you what you are looking for. Make sure to spend time on your special hobbies too.
Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 22) Interpersonal relationship issues — such as conflicts with friends, partners, and children — might require attention. These situations involve a degree of rather intense, pent-up hostility. As the peacemaker, you have the ability to resolve these issues; be sure not to lose your sense of self in the process.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) You feel a deep sense of responsibility to your work and career. While things are going well, there is a lot of pressure. There are also some personal conflicts with friends and lovers that need to be dealt with. The present situation contains a great deal of anger and volatility. Try not to hold grudges.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) Travel is good for you now, both locally and abroad. Even if associated with your work, the experience should also be pleasurable and enjoyable. On the challenging side, issues can arise involving friends and children. For everyone’s benefit, you may need to set better boundaries.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 18) It’s time to examine the inner conflicts that are surfacing now.
