What’s Ripe Now: Tomatoes, eggplant, summer squash, tomatillos, cucumbers, carrots, beets, leeks, basil, peppers, green beans, and onions. The fun summer veggies are in full abundance before the first frost.

What’s Sprouting Next: Winter squash, pumpkins, dry beans, popcorn, potatoes, carrots, kale, collard greens, chard, spinach, arugula, cilantro, fall lettuces, turnips, and radishes. We’re excited to begin harvesting peanuts and sweet potatoes in early fall.

Favorite Bloom: Right now, we’re enjoying tomatillos and making an easy salsa verde! Roast them with some garlic and then blend with lime and salt (and maybe a little jalapeno) and you’re good to go. Perfect with chips or for enchiladas.
