What’s Ripe Now: all different kinds of tomatoes — heirloom, red slicers, cherry, and more. Also ripe are melons — yellow and red watermelons, cantaloupes, and muskmelons.

What’s Sprouting Next: red sweet peppers

Favorite Bloom: yellow watermelons and an Israeli melon called Arava. “These melons are sweet and juicy, and have an amazing smell!” says John Tecklin, owner of Mountain Bounty Farm.
