After-School Guitar Classes
Truckee/North Lake Tahoe
Registration for 3rd - 5th graders is now open for GUITAR GROOVES, an eight-session after-school class offered through the Glenshire PTO and the Truckee non-profit, Got Music & More. Classes will be taught by veteran music professional Steven Kershisnik. Scholarships are available to assist with the $95 class fee. GUITAR GROOVES will meet on Tuesdays beginning at 3:25 and ending at 4:15, with an informal student performance during the last class. Spanish speakers may call Reyna Lopez at 386-2148. Classes will begin as soon as enrollment is filled.
Students will learn guitar chords, strumming and some lead playing, as well as music rudiments. Please inquire if an instrument is needed. Glenshire Elementary Students who need instruments for Guitar Grooves may borrow them through the school library; there is limited availability of instruments for students of other schools.
