Welcome to Moonshine Ink's Winter Photo Annual, where we showcase the best snaps of winter that our readers have to offer. Many thanks to all the photographers out there who sent in their work — your images have given us a fresh appreciation for snow, ice, and cold weather even after months of living amidst it.
A panel of Moonshine Ink editors judging anonymous photos made the final selections. We chose to publish photos from near and far, this year and years past. The only requirement was that they celebrate winter and share the skills and adventures of our readers. We hope these photos make you pause and refeflect onthe season that was, and inspire you to take some pictures of your own during the winters to come.

Congratulation to Jackie Nourse, our Grand Prize Winner! Jackis fancies herself a world traveler and photojournalist of her own expeditions. Originally from Tahoe City, she now lives in Truckee. Jackie has won a Mountain Bike Season Pass to Northstar-at-Tahoe for 2010.
