Celebrating Truckee’s newest streetscape improvements on July 8 were (l to r) Moody’s Bistro owner Mark Estee, Elizabeth Carmel of the Carmel Gallery, and Truckee Mayor Carolyn Wallace Dee. The enhancements include paving stones, street lights, benches, and landscaping from the corner of Bridge Street eastward to the Carmel Gallery. The $400,000 project was funded through the town’s streetscape enhancement project. Carmel Gallery utililized the redevelopment agency’s loan program in the amount of $15,535 to cover the road frontage improvement obligations for the business. ~ Beth IngallsPublished: July 19, 2010
