Seasonal changes are significant energetic shifts that condition all of life. On March 20 the Sun enters Aries as the spring equinox. We have just exited from the winter season, a time when darkness predominated and nature was in a state of relative sleep. With the coming of spring, new life makes its appearance and there is a quickening that can be felt. Even though we in the Sierra will still experience snow, we will be aware of a warming trend.
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and it embodies the principle of new beginnings and rebirth. Now is a time of renewed zest for life and looking forward to new adventures. The fundamental keyword for Aries is "I Am." Of all the zodiac’s 12 signs, it is the most dedicated to self-discovery.
Mars, the planetary ruler of Aries, is the archetype of the warrior. It expresses through the principles of action, motivation, initiative, and accomplishment.
