Tamales & So Much More! Adventure Risk Challenge will celebrate the voices of local youth at the 2nd annual Food for Thought Tamale Dinner, at the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe. Homemade tamales, music, and dancing are just one part of this unique bilingual, cultural event.

ARC participants from North Tahoe and Truckee high schools have been working hard, preparing video essays on topics of concern to the community. From domestic violence and teen pregnancy to educational disparities and inadequate public transportation systems, our youth have significant messages to share about the social fabric of our community. Together, let's listen!

All proceeds raised benefit ARC's youth scholarship fund. With three golden tickets stashed in the tamales, attendees also have the chance to win fabulous prizes!

Drug- and alcohol-free event, 6 to 10 p.m., Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe, 8125 Steelhead Avenue, Kings Beach, Jennifer Gurecki, (530) 546-4324, jgurecki@berkeley.edu, arcprogram.org
