Hot Spot: Al Odt Memorial Benefit
Saturday April 3, MontBleu Resort
Published: March 11, 2010
Nelson Alexander Odt (11/13/84 – 8/21/09) believed that life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated. He loved downhill skiing with a passion and cherished “bluebird days” in Tahoe. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, golfing, and playing on the local Truckee kickball and softball teams. Another one of his passions was underground hip hop, whether it was going to a show or spinning his turn tables — it was the soundtrack to his life. Odt will be remembered for his spirit for life, his great sense of humor, and his love for family and friends. Odt was greatly loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A memorial benefit will be held in Odt’s honor on Saturday April 3 in South Lake Tahoe at the MontBleu. Pep Love of Hieroglyphics and DJ Satva will perform.
7 p.m. Ages 21+. $10/Adv. at brownpapertickets.com, $15/Door, MontBleu, 55 Highway 50, South Lake Tahoe, alodt.org
