Placer County Has Proposed Budget
Despite the fact that the new fiscal year began July 1, Placer County does not expect to have an approved budget in place until September, according to Assistant Auditor Controller Andy Sisk. “That’s the normal schedule for the county,” he said. The proposed budget for 2010/11 includes revenues of $689.4 million, a $24 million decrease from last year. A decrease in property tax and sales revenue is expected to be offset by an increase in health and human services intergovernmental revenue, however. Supervisors will be addressing the proposed budget at their Aug. 24 meeting. Info: placer.ca.gov
