Magic at Sand Harbor

The Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor is arguably one of the best things about summer in Tahoe, but as I drove over I realized it had been (gasp) 10 years since I had gone.

Yes, the food was great, and sure, we tipped back a few brews at the beginning, but that was just a small part of the experience. Magic just happens at Sand Harbor. A bare-bones cast presented “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged),” flawlessly.

The only thing that didn't make sense was the plethora of empty seats in the venue. As we bantered on the way home my son summed it up perfectly. "If people actually realized what the show was, it would be packed every night."

As one reviewer said, "If you like Shakespeare, you'll like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you'll love this show!"  Go forth and treat yourself to the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival!
