“Monsters and Maidens: Amphora Pottery of the Art Nouveau Era”

“Truckee Through My Eyes: Two Artists’ Perspectives on Old Truckee”

Fine artist Sara Zimmerman and fine art photographer Scott Thompson team up for a group art show of images of downtown Truckee, on display at Elijah Bleu’s coffeehouse. “Truckee represents a different ‘something’ to each person,” says artist Sara Zimmerman. “Whether it be the duality of old and new, a place to meet friends, a site of history, etc, Truckee represents something different to each person. Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival

Over 120 films will show at the eighth edition of this festival, the largest of its kind in the U.S. This year’s theme is “Fresh, Wild & Local,” and the festival focuses on the production and consumption of food. White Water Kayaking: The Middle Fork of the Kings Expedition 2009

With Shannon Carroll. Kayakers come from all over the world to run the impressive rivers of the Sierra Nevada ountain range. The Middle Fork of the Kings River is a 6-day Class V run that starts with a grueling 12-mile hike over the crest of the Sierra at Bishop Pass. What follows is 35 miles of intense white water, scouting, portaging, rescue, boat repair, and waterfalls.
The Sierra Nevada: Seeking the Heart & Soul of Climbing

An all-new presentation that highlights the reasons why he first came to the “Range of Light” and how this turned into a long-term climbing love affair with high granite peaks and the diverse climbing along the eastern Sierra. Magic Mushroom: A Yosemite Big Wall Experience
